WE ARE VAULTEX

Transform Your Perspective

“Vault” – Vaulting

“Ex” – Explore 探索

Parkour originates as a military obstacle training method in France in the 20th century. After the First Indochina War, David Belle formed the team Yamakasi, meaning Strong Man, Strong Spirit, in France with his friends and the training method was passed onto its members. Yamakasi promotes strong body and mind  through rigorous and perseverant physical training with a positive mindset, with the training incorporating elements from martial arts and gymnastics.

In Hong Kong, the development of Parkour has been lagging behind compared to other Asian countries due to the lack of systematic coaching programs and venues for beginners to practice the sport safely.

With this in mind, VaultEx was founded to promote Parkour in Hong Kong through professional coaching. We hope to encourage the public to explore the world  and their potential through the lens of Parkour, also its philosophy and spirit.

The name VaultEx thus means:

"Vault" – Vaulting, a basic Parkour move used to overcome obstacles.

"Ex" – Explore.
